When Governor Macquarie named King Street & Kent Street afterKing George III and his son The Duke of Kent, little did he know that this would inspire the minds of the Deconstructed team as they take on their newest venue, the City Hotel Located on the corner of King Street & Kent Street, The City (as it will come to be known) has been totally overlooked in recent years.

Despite its key location and vast capacity, its an undiscovered gem. Part 1 of the development phase is now complete, with the
launch of the aptly named Kent Street Living Room, an inspired nod towards The Duke of Kent and his long-reigning and highly
commemorated daughter Queen Victoria. Formerly, a disused Mexican themed restaurant, the Kent Street Living Room
combines crystal chandeliers, flock wallpaper and chesterfield leather couches with Tom Dixon lights, a cracking cocktail
list (by Barman Of The Year, Jeremy Shipley) and new sound & DJ equipment. The Kent Street Living Room is a purveyor of
good times.
