ASIBA & SSI Excellence Awards 2007
|
It was the kind of glittering affair only Melbourne can do well: Black Tie; gorgeous frocks. The master of ceremonies was Mr John-Michael (Hollywood) Howson, a Melbourne artiste and bon vivant. "I learnt a lot tonight", Mr Howson said. The event was held in the Grand Ballroom of the Regent Theatre, surley one of the most elegant venues in the country. It was an opportunity to celebrate success. Awards were presented in a range of categories. The venue formed a majestic setting for the evening and lent itself well to the Phantom of the Opera themed evening. Tables were decorated with flowing black and red organza and dressed with phantom masks. Each lady was handed a red rose on arrival by no other than the Phantom of the Opera. At the end of the Red Carpet guests were greeted with flutes of sparkling champagne and hot canapes. A stunning venue and prestigious evening left everyone wondering what is in store for next year? |
